"Did you know that Black Creek Community Center is the Reception Center in case of emergencies? If there is a flood, fire, or earthquake, notification will be given to the residents of Black Creek and surrounding areas to meet at the BCCA. In case of an emergency, listen to the local radio stations for instructions on what to do.

Do you have your family Emergency Plan in place or your Emergency Preparedness Kit made up? Get prepared!"

The Centre is now also home to a new AED (Automated External Defibrillator). The generous donation by Medtronic was complimented by the Thrifty Foods Smile Card program and the Black Creek Lions who aided the BCCA in fundraising for additional expenses. The defibrillator is located in the main hall, beside the fitness room door so anyone suffering sudden cardiac arrest can be given immediate assistance.

 

Welcome to the Black Creek Community Association (BCCA)

BCCA is an organized body of people who volunteer their time to see that the residents of Black Creek and surrounding areas can enjoy educational, sports, health and cultural activities without having to leave their community. Our community is a special place - a delightful blend of urban and rural, where the feeling of belonging and looking out for others is still strong. Since 1958 the BCCA has been working hard at meeting many of the recreational needs in the community.

BCCA Hall It all began with fundraising to purchase 10 acres of land. A few years later the old Grantham School was moved on to the property to create the first Black Creek Community Hall. Today after many expansions to the Hall and it s grounds we have a large meeting and event room, Kitchen/Bar, Nursery School, Fitness & Weight Room complete with showers, large deck and covered BBQ area, children's playground, double tennis courts with practice wall, basketball/ hockey court, playing field with back stop, nature trail and administration office. We offer recreational programs to the community, host special events and celebrations, and provide a home for many community groups. Our community hall is a popular place for weddings, reunions, parties, dances and picnics as well as meetings and workshops.

MOVIE NIGHTS! Our next movie night is Januray 21 at 7:00pm. Join us for The Fantastic Mr. Fox! Please vote for our monthly screening here. We welcome all movie interests and ideas!
